Youth Athletic Development (YAD – Strength and Movement Program to Improve Athletic Performance for Middle and High School Students

This comprehensive 60-minute youth performance training program is suitable for all athletes and can be used twice a week. The workout’s first 30 minutes are dedicated to power and movement. This includes an active warm-up, lateral speed and linear speed development, power development and quickness. The second half of the workout focuses on explosive power and strength, as well as increasing overall strength and conditioning.

This workout is functionally sound and includes strength training and movement with a strong emphasis on basic technique. Once you have mastered the basics of movement, the workout will become more difficult.

We work on:

SPEED –  Acceleration and Deceleration Techniques, Running mechanics, Footwork. We also track and record 40 meter runs and 10 meter flys using our automated timing system.

EXPLOSIVE POWER – Plyometrics and Medicine Ball. Jumping & Landing Techniques. We also track vertical jump max using automated testing equipment.

STRENGTH – Functional approach using kettlebells, medicine balls, and bodyweight

MOBILITY– There are many forms of movement prep.

INJURY REDUCTION – Identify and Correct Muscular Imbalances. Balance & Stabilization
